About

We think of furniture and product design not as singular practices, but as several interlocking ones. We have to deal with design on a daily basis, whether we know it or not. This interaction can change your state, dictate your mood, solve a problem or cause one. Human interactions are inseparable from design, function is inseparable from use, so improving human relationships with form + function is the ultimate goal of any project. Aesthetic movements come and go, though in focusing on the essential to the exclusion of all else in our designs and projects, we have found this principle to produce timeless pieces.

We are passionate about designing + creating beautiful modern, functional furniture.

We love using and specialise in Baltic Birch Plywood. It is a beautiful and versatile material and we believe it can work in any style of living or work space. We are also working with new and exciting recycled and up-cycled materials which can offer you a wonderful variety of looks, styles and finishes. Along with these specialisms we work in MDF and Valchromat MDF which allows us to create beautiful, bold, colourful statement pieces whilst maintaining clean formwork. Traditional timbers are also possible, it’s all down to the application and client requirements.

We strive for simplicity and clarity with our clients. Our first job is to simply sit and have a conversation to fully understand the client’s vision and needs, not to present our own. We value timeliness, direct communication and honesty. We present our conceptual interpretations of our client briefs clearly and transparently.

We do not strive to be the cheapest, we strive to be the best we can be. We feel our work speaks for itself. The attention to all details in order to produce your work takes time and precision, this costs experience and money. We do not rush and always aim to give an open and realistic project timescale. On the occasions that schedules do have to be amended we will always keep an open and honest dialogue about the timelines with our clients.

Our background is in product design, innovation and manufacturing with a love of woodwork spanning a lifetime. From the early years in parents and grandparents workshops to helping on property renovations as kids and teens through to our own building and development projects. Obsessing over the details was and is a daily occurrence and forms the basis of our ethos, that and ensuring that each clients project is finished to the same standard that we would finish our personal projects.
