IKEAdaptation Kitchens

Our ‘IKEAdaptation’ specialise in transforming the versatile IKEA Metod kitchen system into something truly unique.

By using the robust and functional Metod framework, we craft bespoke plywood fronts and tailored kitchen designs to suit your style and space perfectly.

This approach allows us to combine the affordability and reliability of the IKEA system with the elegance and individuality of custom craftsmanship.

Whether you’re looking for bold statement fronts or a subtle, timeless design, we’ll create a kitchen that’s both functional and truly one of a kind.

IKEA Metod units with bespoke fronts + features

Transform your kitchen vision into reality on a realistic budget with our IKEAdaptation solution. We offer modern, custom joinery using sustainable materials from around the UK and Europe. Each piece is handcrafted in our workshop, using low VOC finishes for an eco-friendly and high-quality result.

Why our IKEAdaptation?

Starting with IKEA Metod cabinets gives you a cost-effective base for your kitchen, while still allowing you to get creative. The modular design of Metod, combined with our range of materials and custom options, helps you create a unique and functional space.

IKEAdaptation vs. fully bespoke kitchens?

Our IKEAdaptation allows you to stay within budget while customising your kitchen. By being involved in the planning, design, and installation, you can save costs compared to custom joinery. If you need help, we can connect you with contractors for as much or as little assistance as you need. Plus, the Metod system is easy to update, so you can refresh your kitchen with new components down the line.

  • Once we’ve been contacted and invited to see your space we will come round and take accurate measurements, paying attention to all of the details like window placement and ceiling height.

  • To firstly gauge the rough design of your kitchen we use the IKEA Kitchen Planner to create your kitchen layout with Metod cabinets as placeholders.

This will give you an initial idea of the layout and design whilst allowing us to give you an initial quotation. After this stage, if you’re happy to proceed we ask for a 10% deposit to confirm so you have a production slot and approximate schedule.

  • Once you are happy and would like to progress, we start to look at your specific details and decide on the materials, handles, and finishes. These choices may affect your final design.

  • So you’re happy with the design and you’d like to proceed, great! At this stage we take a further 55% deposit start by ordering the cabinets, drawers, hinges, and other components from IKEA as well as the bulk materials for the bespoke creations.

Once these are all safely in the workshop we will set to work creating your space in accordance to the agreed schedule.

  • Included in the project costs is the installation of your new kitchen. We will arrive on site and maintain a clean and safe environment whilst ensuring everything is installed properly and efficiently.

If needed, we can recommend trusted professionals for plumbing, electrical work, and more.
