Floating media unit with feature wall

In such large spaces certain room details can be lost or positioned in an automatic way due to too much space and not knowing what to do with it or how to optimise it to create a homely feel. This project was requested to make a feature wall and maximise use of a huge wall area in a voluminous living area and create a more homely feel and dedicated tv and media area.

We installed a pre-made felt backed slatted wall panels to add acoustic dampening and take the ‘zing’ off the sound in the space whilst also hiding the audio cables within the walls prior to fixing. The 75” TV was then hung and the surround sound speakers mounted.

Having designed + built the unit in the workshop we then mounted the floating cabinet on the wall before feeding the audio cables and securing the the final details, doors and sliding panels.

The great thing about doing bespoke projects is being able to make them for each clients’ specific needs.

The black and white theme of the veneered doors was requested to tie in with an existing colour scheme, the result made the unit fit right in and compliment the rest of the interior decor.
