Maximising Space in an Entrance Hall

We were invited back to The Low House to create a flexible solution to an otherwise difficult, unused space in their entrance hall.

The space was dormant as it hide behind the front door, by designing a peg board into the corner we could create shelves for misc items, pegs for all of their headwear and accessories as well as a useful umbrella stand.

The peg system was the most optimal solution for this problem as they already had coat hooks in the entrance though these were inundated with accessories so they simply needed more space for these items and because of the various sizes of such items the peg board gave the perfect flexible option.

We created a magnetic key holder which was build on a peg so that they could hang some of the older metal keys out of the way and leave the integrated basket shelve for lanyards, keys, bike lights etc.

The great thing about doing bespoke projects is being able to make them for each clients’ specific needs.

This bowl from from their travels in far-off lands and they wanted to include this handmade piece within the storage system so we designed this shelf with a circular cutout so that it securely fit without the worry of it falling off and having keys strewn across the floor!
